Our Anniversary

Interestingly enough, November 7 came and went without us remembering anything about it. For a bunch of guys, forgetting an anniversary isn't totally out of the norm, but it has now been over 1 year since this silly little game called Halo 2 brought all of us together for our "bowling nights". Bungie celebrates this occasion with an extensive article on Halo History, and reveals some of the benefits of running H2 on the new Xbox 360.

I will have to say, I have NEVER played a game that I was still playing nightly one year later. The game has so much replay-ability and the Live integration is so good, I can't wait for Halo 3 to astound us again next year. Until then, continue to chuck those nades right on into year 2!

Also, another occasion, this is the 100th post on our little clan blog! I think both occasions call for a holiday Lan Party at someone's place with plenty of Egg Nog.

Nothing gets you ready for the holidays like Nog and stickies. Thanks for the great posts Shark. I can't wait to see Halo in 720P. Did you get you new HD TV yet? I'm hoping to find a 360 on launch day since my preorder was not early enough to be in the initial delivery. Good luck in the trenches on the 22nd, and hope to play with you soon.

Great point on replayability. Besides the great maps and the ability to continually get better at the game, H2's Live interface is THE shit. Now, why the hell isn't every publisher out there emulating it? When they first started describing the dashboard on 360, I thought it would handle matchmaking as well as messaging, etc. Unfortunately, it's still up to the developers. I can understand Bungie not wanting to liscence the Halo engine, but they really should liscence the Halo interface.

Thanks you guys for making the 2130 so much fun. Let's be sure and have a true, on-hands-onboard LAN summit in 2006.

Sticky on Shark! You are so right with replayability. It has been such a blast gaming with the 2130.
I hope one of us can land a 360 on launch day. I also want to see that bad boy hooked up to your (not in house yet) new big HD screen.
Viva la 2130.
