I need some more time Mondo. But this is what I have for you so far. The interface seems very good. Easy to jump in. All else so far is just like the old days of Broken Arrow. The graphics are clearly better. I'm sorry to say that I am having a hard time with not being able to run, dive and take cover as easily as in Gears. There is no running and diving and the cover is tough to get used too.
I do think RB6 Vegas is going to be fun with six or more of us playing head to head gametypes. And going into missions co op will also be fun. With so many games at our finger tips I think we might have to arrange for a Vegas night and a Gears night specifically. In Vegas the more the merrier.
I will be going to Free and Tenlin's new place for a LAN this Saturday night. All are welcome.

Mondo, I think it's still the game we all know and have such fond memories for. Jason's point about missing diving and cover is well-taken. This game is different than Gears. I would add that there aren't the same exclamation-point type kills like Gears has either. But having spent a good couple hours on the single-player campaign this morning, and after getting a chance to play both the co-op and vs. online, I think you'll be very pleased with your purchase of Vegas.

Whereas Gears is more tactical that Halo, it still can be very frantic and fast-paced. Vegas on the otherhand is very deliberate and precise, which adds to the tension factor in my opinion -- you never know when the enemy will spot you. This in itself makes it better in some sense than Gears where we always run to the power weapons.

The multiplayer expereience was good. We had one issue with the cover command not working for a short time, but it resolved itself. The voice chat works good and the party system lobby is most welcome. The maps on multiplayer are huge, so we need more people. Dunkel should have the game by Saturday night which will help.

Free says thumbs up.

I think it a solid buy. I can also confirm that Sachel has been playing and loving it. He has promised to buy a wireless adapter for his 360 and will be online again with us soon. It will be worth it just to hear him as "button" again.
