Weekly Updates Are Getting Interesting

This week's update from Bungie contains some nice analysis of user interface design. We've all experienced bad UIs before -- few things are more frustrating. But in my opinion, Bungie has proven themselves to be UI experts with Halo 2. Is there anything you would change about the Halo 2 interface? Since my job is shifting to the Web team this week, user interface is something I'll be paying a lot of attention to from now on.

Thanks to all who played for the fun games last night.

That is a cewl report from Frankie on the UI. They have hit a home run with the UI for Halo. I wonder when the other teams are going to jump in and copy the basics.

I like that Bungie won't talk about their 'project' but everyone knows what that is. They are extremely protective of the Halo franchise and this time it sounds like they have the time to get it done their way and their way only. I also like that the Mister Chief from Frankie is making this goofy face and showing three fingers. Bring on the H3.

I'm thinking about ideas for improvement on the UI and nothing is kicking me in the face. I would like to see the unranked games still provide like ranking matchups. It is frustrating to get in a Sack game and go against 35's.

How about rooms with and age limit? Or, a "no foul language room" where anyone would have the ability to boot an offending party member with a "second" supporting the boot? I know that I would have a hard time staying in most of these games but, we can all change.

Halo's UI does blow away all others. My bigggest problem with Ghost recon is the crappy interface. I like the game play much beter than Halo but the UI (and you guys) keep me from playing it very often. Don't know what I am going to do when H3 comes out, I don't think I am going to get a 360 for a long time.
