How do you load a game sideways? I don't get the vertical placement. I understand we will be able to set it horizontal, but what is the marketing angle here and how would you place a game in there?

The door is made to support a disc when ejected. I had my PS2 in that orientation

And you don't have to place it vertically, it will work horizontal as well.

So if all your favorite games are backwards compatible, who's jumping onboard the 360 train right away?

It is reported to retail for up to $500. I will have to learn more about it before that cash is parted with. I know I will want this bad boy, but not sure when I will drop the dough. I'm undecided. I think after I see some of the games and play a few at a store or one of you clan members crib I will make a decision.

I have $ allocated already. With my TV's native format of 720P, switching to the 360 is a no-brainer. I know that that resolution will only come through on the new games, but it won't take them long. Besides, for as much as we play, you will get every penny out of $500

Just read Time magazines May 23rd article with Xbox leader J Allard & Bill Gates taking questions. It jazzed me up to drop the cash today. The article stated that the 360 is aimed to release in Nov. with some great games too. Halo 3 is scheduled for the Spring when Playstation unleashes its next gen. Gates said it wants to release H3 the same week...ouch! Allard also cannot figure out why PS and Nintendo haven't moved into a Live forum. The best feature I can see is that we can customize ourselves and play similar age/levels or skill types. That is the biggest headache with Live now, but with that removed 90% of the games will most likely be close and fun in Halo and perhaps many others that will come out. I will start filling my piggy bank.
