Gronk's In Love With COD2

Timo let Gronk borrow his copy of Call of Duty 2 this week and he's really getting into it. Here's a video of Gronk's first forrays into multiplayer. Yeah, he got killed a lot but everybody was really friendly to him.

BrainDead is Baaaaaack.

Sleepycoyote reported that Brain saved up and bought a 360. His new gamertag is KuyKendall and he makes Big Team a bit easier to stomach. Check out HIS handy work in a Multiteam sniper match from last night.
We did really well and all contributed but KuyKendall never died with 19 Snipes. Yikes.
Bring on the 10 year olds.

Fall in Love all over again...with yourself.

For all you Obliviates this might add to the immersiveness. You can use THIS software and download the DEMO to scan in your own headshot, and the software will analyze your face and return the closest values and those face customization sliders. Scan in your mug and fall in love all over again. Fight Night 3 is also a good one to use this on. I read about this on Major Nelson's pages.

Support your local Action Figure geek Armleg

Howdy 2130,

I have a favor to ask. I entered the Seven on the 7th contest to win the Halo 2 Soundtrack Volume 2 CD signed by Marty O'Donnell(composer). Bungie is awarding 7 of these CD's to the lucky winner of their contest
As those rules state I had to submit a picture of Halo action figures in some funny scene that was within a theme from one of the soundtrack titles. Along with that picture and song title I added a caption to go with it. Of the over 250 entries, Bungie picked their top 20% and put them up on the Seven website to be voted on. I'm asking the 2130 to go vote for my picture. It is on the last page of pictures as number 44 The song title is Peril and it is a picture of Sergeant Johnson in an 'elevator' with a bunch of Spartans, and Johnson says, "Hit the button for the penthouse Master Chief. I know what the ladies like."
The contest asks that you vote for your favorite 7. I would really appreciate a vote from my 2130 brethren. Wish me luck and thank you for your support.

How Lara Croft Steals Hearts

"I think young boy gamers loved Lara for reasons that were considerably stranger. They weren't just ogling her: They were identifying with her. Playing the role of a hot, sexy woman in peril -- surrounded by violence on all sides -- was, unexpectedly, a totally electric experience for young guys."

Finnigan and the Coral Reefer Band

Jenny and I did our annual pilgrimage to Buffett and brought along our new family member Finnigan. We are veterans and know how to pace ourselves. Finn was not so lucky. Too much Parking Lot partying for Finnigan. A good time was had by all.

I think I've been on the wrong side of this guys Montage

This is a big download but a very good tutorial...BS. It is a great way for me to finally understand why so many times on Halo 2 I die so fast and wonder how. This guys Montage called itwasluck is absolutely an answer to my questions. Some guys are really good and know how to use those grenades with a battle rifle and sniper. It is unreal the amount of Killtrocities this guy racks up on his montage. I also liked his use of angles and walls for throwing the grenades for most impact. He used his melee and shooting at the same time with the battle rifle for an undefensible kill.

Taxless Tuesday for Timo

The 17th has come and gone, and that means Timo is a free man. Nice work Timo, we know you were cranking. Way to make it happen. Let's hope he can join us for some Halo Tuesday tonight. I'm fired up after the LAN party. And don't forget to fill out your tax forms. Those Warthogs don't build themselves you know.

Tenlin Conquers Zuma

Congratulations to Tenlin for completing the adventure mode in Zuma and gaining the rank of 338th in the world! She's been working hard on this game ever since we brought the 360 home in November and now it's paid off. She honors our clan with this achievement. Way to go Tenlin!

10,9,8,7,6...

One more to get you'ins ready for the LAN

MondoShark Lan 2006

Yes, that's right, in less than 48 hours, we will be gaming together as the Portland chapter of the clan travels south for the 2130 Clan Easter LAN.

Mondofresh has been traveling, with family in tow, all the way along I-5 and it's tributaries. You can find a nice log of his journeys on his website.

Meanwhile, Sharkie has chartered a jet plane for the outrageous price of $10.00 and will be taking a quick tour of the Phoenix airport before arriving in Santa Barbara at 6pm on Wednesday. (Sharkie's travels courtesy of US Airways).

This northern clan-folk will be in town until Friday night, so I welcome all offers of entertainment and good times.

See you all tomorrow!

Episode 3: This Spartan Life

Check out the interview with Malcolm McLaren on Module 5.

Malcolm McLaren's career began in the early 70s with a clothing store that had a big part in starting the punk movement in Britain. He soon founded the seminal punk band, The Sex Pistols and set out to cause a huge disturbance, the effects of which are still being felt today. His work in film, television and on his own genre-hopping music releases has exposed his more thoughtful side, but he continues to situate himself in the midst of the latest radical upheaval, most recently gameboy music. He is currently producing a film version of the book "Fast Food Nation".

Thank You Sir! May I Have Another?

Well, that's it for number three. I think the picture says it all.
Hopefully, my fourth console will be the one that lasts. It's
been doing this on and off since the end of last month. But it
finally refused to turn on tonight. I must have wronged Bill
Gates in a past life.

Happy Birthday, Free!

Timo on The Widget

Timo got his networking question answered on this week's The Widget podcast. Click here for the direct link to the podcast; Tim's question comes up at 54:06. Known for ripping on each other and their listeners, The Widge crew took it easy on Timo because he's a new listener. Next time though, he's fair game.
